Note: When booking Horcott Tench Lake please be aware that your ticket is only valid to fish Horcott Tench Lake. Tickets are not transferable and don’t allow you to move and fish Horcott Lake. You must book Horcott Lake if you wish to fish that lake.

Horcott Tench Lake offers fishing and beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Cotswolds for anglers of all abilities. Situated just outside Fairford, Gloucestershire, the Tench lake is a typical Cotswold gravel pit that’s Gin clear, 5ft-6ft in-depth with lots of bars, gullies and weed beds.

Our Tench lake has been restocked over the last season making it a prolific fishery with secure parking.

Horcott is also great if you’re angling for and Bream, with plenty of Roach, Rudd, Perch, a few carp and some very large Pike too.

 

Rules

  1. When booking Horcott Tench Lake please be aware that your ticket is only valid to fish Horcott Tench Lake. Tickets are not transferable and don’t allow you to move and fish Horcott Lake. You must book Horcott Lake if you wish to fish that lake.
  2. Anyone fishing either lake without a valid ticket (for the lake they are fishing) will be asked to leave and no refunds will be issued.
  3. Any ticket holder has the authority to act as a bailiff should the need arise.
  4. Large unhooking mats/Cradles must be used at all times and must be at least 90cm x 60cm, for all Carp, Pike, Tench and Bream, Anyone caught with an undersized mat will be told to leave. No sharing mats, No excuses.
  5. All fish must be returned as quickly and safely as possible after being caught. No fish in a retaining sling to be held for long periods of time. This will result in an instant ban.
  6. Should any member witness or see a problem with fish, other members etc, it is their responsibility to contact a fishery bailiff as soon as possible.
  7. It is every angler’s responsibly to take all litter home and respect the waters and surrounding area. (Any person seen or reported to have left litter will be permanently banned).
  8. No swimming to take place or boats to be used on the water.
  9. No fixed rigs are to be used at any time, nothing above the lead (beads, split shot etc)
  10. Lead Core or any other leader material is banned, shock leaders for spodding are fine.
  11. Barbless hooks only.
  12. Trebles for pike are fine during the correct season.
  13. Night fishing is permitted, with a valid ticket, but no tents, bivvies or brollies only.
  14. BBQ’s are permitted but no fires are to be lit.
  15. No keepnets or sacks.
  16. No fish to be transferred from one lake to another.
  17. 2 Rods can be used as long as you have an appropriate, valid Environment Agency Rod Licence. Rods must be attended at all times, 3 rods can be used as long as you have purchased a 3-rod ticket.
  18. Payment of your ticket is considered acknowledgement of these rules.
  19. The management of Horcott Lakes reserves the right to refuse entry and ban anglers for breaking rules, no money will be refunded.
  20. No Dead baiting or Spinning before the 1st of October and ends 31st of March.
  21. An angler fishing the disabled swims must give way to wheelchair users and others with severe mobility problems.
  22. only 72 hours in one swim and then you must move on.
  23. If you go for a walk around the lake take your hook baits off your rigs due to the birdlife.
  24. The most important rule is to ENJOY AND HAVE FUN!
  25. Bait boats are NOT permitted.
