Information

Watergate Lake is the ideal place for Carp and Coarse fishing. It’s set in beautiful surroundings located close to the old mining village of Murton. And regarded as one of the North East’s finest specialist day ticket carp fishing waters.

Rules

• Barbless hooks or micro barbs only
• Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult
• Fishing from platforms only
• Please remove any litter
• No sacking of fish
• No nuts or tigers, particles and coarse pellets are ok
• Minimum line of 8lb, Carp rods only
• Unhooking mats are required
• No fixed rigs, if using lead core or shock leaders, make sure leads can break free, rigs will be checked.
• Landing nets must have at least 22 inch arms, nets and slings
• No night only tickets, ie day or 24hr tickets only
• Dogs are allowed, but must be on leads and any mess cleaned up
•  No fires or guns. No loud music or antisocial behaviour
• No rods to be left unattended
